Envelope stuffed with cash = Piggy bank full of coins, originally uploaded by Serenity in China.
In China coins apparently aren’t used as much as small paper bills that have the value of coins . . .
Whether I’m home in Canada or overseas in China I rarely make efforts to spend the ‘small change’ aka ‘small bills’ I have on me. What I usually do is have a bowl or bucket and empty the coins out of my pockets each night.
In the case of life in China I’ve been tossing them on my night table so Julianne gathered up the small hill that had accumulated and stuffed them in an envelope.
Now I just have to motivate my procrastinating butt to take them to a bank and exchange them.
