When someone asks what is China like and I tell them that one of the fundamental differences is that many everyday activities are done out in the open and in groups . . . I don’t think western English native speakers can really visualize what I mean.

This picture, I think, conveys what I’m trying to explain. In North America you get a massage in a small private room with only you and the massage therapist present.

In China, well, you can see it is NOT the same, lol.
