This afternoon I walked around the neighborhood where Julianne and I live taking pics of everyday sights and places.
This is a shot of the variety store just a short walk away from our apartment. The husband and wife who run it are very kind and simple people, and their daughter (a freshman in high school) sometimes speaks in English to Julianne and I.
I don’t know where the family lives but I really hope it isn’t in the dilapidated structure sitting on top of their store. They have been very kind to Julianne and I, and I hope they have a nice apartment somewhere nearby.
It seems that every place I’ve lived overseas always has a nice family running a small variety store that I choose to frequent regularly, and they become a part of my favorite day to day experiences while living in a foreign country.
I will definitely miss this family after my time in China is done.
