Julianne and I actually went twice to the gardens because on the first trip the cherry blossom trees that line the lake were completely not in bloom . . . which was unfortunate because on that particular day it was sunny and there was some blue sky.
Anyways, we went back and it was well worth the trip because the trees looked gorgeous by the lake. Not as impressive as the TWO KILOMETERS of cherry blossom trees that line both sides of the lane that runs around the South Korean National Assembly Building (I made at least five visits during my time in Korea) . . . but it was still really nice to go and shoot.
The only downer to this visit was the bizillion Chinese elementary kids running around screaming “HOLLOW” (poorly pronounced ‘hello’) at us . . . one of the native English teachers we were with LOATHES children so it was somewhat amusing to see her reactions, lol. That being said, my reactions were probably a mirror of hers although I do like kids–just NOT when I’m on my own time and outside of the classroom!!!
Anyways, check out my flickr page for more blossom shots.
