Julianne and I went out for dinner with Amy, a friend and co-worker, last night before Amy leaves for a vacation back in America.
We went back to this restaurant that has the best beef dish I’ve had in China so far. The beef is good quality, and that so helps one to enjoy the flavors and seasoning (unlike when the beef is stringy and in general blah).
I like this shot cause you can see the oil in the front corner of the dish. Some Korean teachers I used to work with complained vehemently about how Chinese food is ‘too oily’–I strongly disagree. It may LOOK ‘too oily’ but if it’s cooked well the flavors are fantastic!
Anyways, definitely one of my favorite dishes.
